  18. Q.:  Doctor, I am new to fax, I have not had much fax, and I am
  19. worried.  Is it safe to have fax?
  20.  
  21. A.:  Fax is perfectly safe, providing both you and your partner
  22. maintain your equipment in good order, keep it clean and have a
  23. regular check-up by a qualified consultant.  Do not be
  24. embarrassed at your lack of experience.  There are many excellent
  25. fax manuals available, including my own "The Joy of Fax".

  27. Q.:  About how often should I fax?
  28.  
  29. A.:  Those who are new to fax often can't get enough, and do it
  30. all the time.  We usually find, however, that as we get older and
  31. the novelty wears off, the desire for fax decreases rapidly,
  32. particularly if we still have the same old machine.  (It is not
  33. unknown for jaded faxers to have a brief "fling" with a new,
  34. exciting machine, but this, too, will usually burn out quite quickly.)

  36. Q.:  Can I have fax with more than one person?
  37.  
  38. A.:  By all means.  This is perfectly normal, even necessary in
  39. most circumstances.  It is time we cast aside our hang-ups about
  40. fax, feel free to "let it all hang out" and share your true self
  41. with the world.

  43. Q.:  Do I have to be married to have fax?
  44.  
  45. A.:  Good Lord, no.  People who hardly ever fax their wives will
  46. spend most of their working lives faxing complete strangers.

  48. Q.:  My parents say they never had fax when they were young, and
  49. were only allowed to write memos to each other until they were
  50. twenty-one, is this true?

  52. A.:  Yes, but why worry about boring old twits like them?

  54. Q.:  If I fax something to myself, will I go blind?
  55.  
  56. A.:  Certainly not.  As far as I can see.

  58. Q.:  There is a place on our street now, where you can go and pay
  59. to fax, is this legal?
  60.  
  61. A.:  Yes.  Many lonely people have no other outlet for their fax
  62. drives and must pay a "professional" when their need for fax
  63. becomes too strong.

  65. Q.:  What are the consequences of indiscriminate fax?

  67. A.:  Very high telephone bills.
